I have always enjoyed writing about business topics and began early on in the weblog era. About a decade ago, I began sharing my thoughts on Quora, a Q&A style publishing platform. I wrote on a number of topics including technology, investing and China: here is an updated anthology of some of my writing over the years.
I am now in the process of transitioning to Substack, which allows for greater writing flexibility. I have also ported over a selection of past writings from Quora and other platforms that I have written before – past articles will be back-dated to the date of original publishing and noted as such accordingly. These should give you some idea on the topics and subject matter that I enjoy writing about.
A little about me:
I currently manage a private investment partnership that invests in public and private equity. I am also a partner with a Baltimore-based real estate firm that is developing sustainable mixed-use communities in lower-income neighborhoods in partnership with local technology firms.
Over my career, I have worked in the U.S. and Asia in banking, venture capital and private equity. Previously, I was a partner with Investcorp Technology Partners where I focused on private equity in the technology sector and venture capital investing.
I studied Finance, Information Systems and Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
I was born and spent the first 18 years of my life in New Jersey. My wife and I have three children and if we are not in New York City, you can probably find us in Taiwan.
